Personal Description: I am a friendly, easy going person who enjoys meeting new people, especially from other countries. I have been a host mother for many secondary school students from around the world. I have three daughters of my own. I love to travel and particularly enjoy my annual trips to Thailand.

Tutoring Experience: I am a New Zealand trained teacher and have worked in NZ schools for 10 years. I have taught the new Numeracy and Mathematics Curriculum for the past 4 years and am an experienced Literacy teacher. I have taken a years leave from full time clasroom practice and am currently releasing seniors teachers at a local primary school 3 days a we**Telephone Number Removed** would like to use my teaching experience to help students who might be falling behind or needing that extra one on one.

Tutoring Approach: I would begin by establishing the students needs and carrying out some diagnostic testing. Term overview written. There after, each session would introduce a learning intention (ie what we will cover), instructional teaching and then co-constructing some success criteria so the student can work through some problems/tasks independently. Homework would be set each week, with a recap of the previous weeks to discuss any problems they may have encountered.
