Personal Description: hello! my name is Hye-Won and I play the flute.
I am in my first year of bachelor degree at Auckalnd University.
I was the winner of The New Zealand Woodwind Competition in 2009 and the National Finalist of New Zealand Chamber Music Contest in 2008.
I have been playing in many chamber ensembles, orchestra as a principal flute, and solo with a chamber orchestra. And I would like to share my musical experiences and knowledge with eager students!

Tutoring Experience: This is my first experience of 'payed' tutoring. But I have experience in teaching friends time to time. I can teach both beginner and intermediate level students. Also, I am fluent in both Korean and English so I can teach in either languages.

Tutoring Approach: I like to really teach students about the wonderful nature of the flute and get them to like playing the instrument.
I can teach students to play as a soloist and member of an ensemble (orchestra, chamber groups).
I work well with student's current level and improve them quickly.
I can teach any pieces the student wishes to play.

Qualifications:

• Trinity Guildhall Flute Grade 8 with Distinction
• Grade 5 Theory of Music with Distinction
• NCEA Music Studies 3 with Scholarship
